City of Gary & SMDG, LLC Presents - Gary Legends
The “Gary Legends” honor presented by City of Gary and SMDG, LLC is an acknowledgement given monthly to an individual who is a current or former resident in the City of Gary; an individual who has brought honor to the City of Gary whether through great individual accomplishments, philanthropy, overall contribution to the City, or simply by making the City of Gary a better place.
Honorees will be featured on the City of Gary social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and the Team Gary Indiana blog at http://www.teamgaryindiana.com. Later in the year those featured will also be invited to a ceremony in their honor.
Nominations
The community is encouraged to use the form below to submit their nominations for the Gary Legends Award. Honorees will be selected monthly by the Gary Legends Award Selection Committee. While the Selection Committee reserves the right to final selections, consideration will be given to the nominee’s contribution to the City of Gary, number of nominations received, and number of years dedicated to service. Nominees must be 18 years of age or older.
